  • Hey! Im seriously considering buying this lens. I currently own a Sigma 17-70mm Macro IS HSM...Wonderful lens but I would be going from 2.8 to 3.5 aperture :( ..what do you think of that swap??

  • @SourNaik it depends on what you need it for... I think it's a pretty awesome "allround"-lens for travelling photography, although it's kinda heavy. The Zoom range is pretty awesome, especially on a cropped sensor (Canon 7D, 550D, 60D etc.)

    And I might get a 17-70mm Sigma for video, because of the 2.8 aperture.

  • Im expecting your hand holding? No tripod?

  • ooh at high zoom the sensor line skipping is awful. Dslr photo cameras shoud only be used for short range shooting
