I seen Loretta in person way back in the late 70's at Williamsgrove Amusement park in Pennsylvania! She was getting big and she was the same coal miners daughter then as she was back in the 60s when she and Pasty Cline were playing the carvinals. Love them both!

See, this is was when country music was about life for working class Americans and not just a venue for conservative politics to be put to song.

So pretty. I heard her say in an interview that she will sing this song first at her concerts, because it is her most requested song. She kind of gets it out of the way, so everyone is happy.

A nice clip from the 1979 Music City News Awards Show. On this show Loretta won the "Female Vocalist" award every year from 1967 until 1978. She lost in 1979 to Barbara Mandrell but bounched back in 1980 to win it one more time. Long live the "Queen Of Country Music" Miss LORETTA LYNN.

The one and only Loretta Lynn. There will never be another like her. She is the best. End of discussion.

I'm a C & W Fan as long as I remember, Loretta was always on top of my list. But still: she has the right voice, she misses the looks by all means. Her appearence on stage is a complete disaster.

I cannot watch this without the hairs on the back of my head standing on end. I know that sounds weird but it just gets me every time, what that little girl from Butcher Holler became.
