@JaseUK32 yeah mate thats why...to find out your latest firmware just load your cd burning software and it should tell you there. i use the cyberlink power to go7 that came with the drive...i supposes somewhere in the future there maybe a release. my dive seems fine so far, for dvd burning anyway via Adobe Encore CS5

@neo36uk thanks for the reply. I tried updating to v1.06 but it wont allow it saying I already have the latest firmware.

@JaseUK32 Hi, I also have firmware version v1.56 in my drive, i'm not sure if there is an upgrade yet though. I have not yet got around to testing the drive so I am keeping mine at v1.56 for the time being.

Hi, I just purchased one of these drives and havent really put it to use yet. I was wondering if you had updated the firmware on your drive? I'm not even sure there is an update. Mine came with Firmware 1.56 or atleast thats what device manager reports it as. If you have updated your firmware could you point me in the right direction please? Good video btw....
