I totally remember this as a kid. I don't think it "scared" us so much as it was far more intense than anything else we were watching. Good stuff.

I TOTALLY remember this episode and was totally scared too. Pretty intense for a kids cartoon but we couldn't look away. I'm surprised at home much I remember too.

This is pretty compelling stuff- I'm amazed at how well this holds up after 35 years or so.

I'm beginning to agree with people who like the original dubs of animes. They do sound better. Although some English dubs sound ok.
