life imitate art or the other way around? i think its about this, and how cinema is maturing and aging

if you gonna watch it, take it easy and let it flow, its a difficult film

Too bad that the subtitles are obviously done by someone who is probably not a pro, or at least who doesn't know English all that well.

No language professional skips a vocative comma ("What makes you carry on Oscar?") and "Nothing makes us feel so alive as to see others die" is either terribly unidiomatic or states something much more complex than the French line. (It should probably be "Nothing else makes you feel as alive as watching someone else die", but my French is shaky).

I think it was the first time you people watched a movie that is not a hollywood-money-catcher movie, and now you think you're super intelligent and special for that. I think it's by no means a "hard" film as many here said, in fact, I had a great time watching it. Loved the movie!

Cinema is one of the arts; just because you're a simpleton who enjoys art solely for it's entertainment factor, doesn't mean everybody else does - some of us like to actually use our brains when it comes to the arts.

Its a good observation. This movie to me made me think of how humans celebrate beauty and try to reach it in many different ways. This movie gave us some example of where beauty come from. Art, cinema, fashion, technology. And also the beauty that come out of the everyday life or specific moments like the death of a beloved or the talking a dad have with his daughter.
