Does anyone know that Sal Masekela, host of the "X-games" and several of alternative sports programmes is the son of Hugh! Found this out during the last world cup which of course was held in South Africa, homeland of the patriarch.
I just can't remember how many copies of the 45 I bought. Everytime someone heard it they liked it and I'd end up giving it to them and then have to buy another copy for myself. Whether you know it or not, I believe this was one of the first infusions of jazz into rock music. In 1968 that happening was ahead of the curve. Hugh was a master. Not many of his other number reached the level this one did.
One of my favorite instrumentals.
