  • No. They are more like "tabby brick" which were common in coastal South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Traditionally tabby brick or tabby concrete were made by taking quicklime, adding sand and oystershell and molding. The heat from the quicklime would dry the mix quicker and allow the brick or concrete to be tough within 24 hours (although the actual curing took longer). We're basically doing the same thing with ground rubble and hydraulic lime. Thanks for checking out the vid!
