  • Yes... this recipe is so easy my grands make it. They are 14 and 16.

  • I don't suggest you use anything else except shortening (Crisco). I tried using oil one time and it didn't work. I have not tried butter.

  • 1 tsp of vanilla has always worked.. even for this large batch. However, if you feel like you want to add a little more... by all means do so.

  • It is an easy recipe. When we are ask to take a treat to a gathering... this is our first choice because it serves so many.

  • i tried this recipe but it turned out a bit dry(nice taste though) -i guess i left it for too long or the temperature was too high? my oven doesnt show the temperature. i also reduced the sugar to 2 cups...3 is just too much

  • @emseetje Fahrenheit

  • 300 degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius ? Give me these Brownies and a large glass of milk.. Really nice !

  • 300 degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius ?

  • Try using at least butter rather than shortening for Christ's sake. It's hydrogenated fat. In other words poison...
