Couldnt agree with you. I was surprised and happy

with my decision. I tried everything to cure my

tinnitus. There are so many shams out there for

treating tinnitus. I also tried taking pills but what

it gave me was a side effects. Finally I found this:

    StopTinnitusToday.info

    I almost didnt gave it a shot.Boy Im glad I did. I

got results by following the ebook program.

  • Aided vs unaided for proving speech discrimination ability is rediculous. It can make unaudible sounds audible but not clearer. Show one article were a hearing aid makes sound clearer. One that is not published by a hearing aid company or funded by such.

  • Are you kidding! This is just not true! No matter what kind of sound equilization/filtering is done you cannot change clearness through a damaged cochlea. Digital or analog hearing aids both amplify, they do not clarify. Please teach your students reality and not fantacy. They should know better if they are truly the "best and brightest" or are they just hearing aid dealers with a title???? Sure go ahead and remove this comment. The truth can hurt.

  • My daughter who is 7 wears a hearing aid that has the custom mold . What is the benefits of this one over that. Do these work with standard fm units.

  • @texican512

You probably just say that because you are used to analog aids. Anyone who started out on digital and then attempted to transition to analog would probably say the same about analog aids.

  • @KevinCarey

Not quite. While it is possible for hearing aids to cause further hearing loss, when fitting hearing aid, any good audiologist will select a maximum output level so that the hearing aids don't amplify enough to cause a sound-induced hearing damage, even over time.

  • @hansenda8184

Any aided vs unaided speech test will show you that for most hearing imapred people, hearing aids do improve speech intelligibility. The cochlea would have to be pretty severely damaged for there to be no benefit.

  • Some good info here.

  • Awesome! Great video

  • Why not tell people that even "digital" hearing aids do not help with speech understanding! If the amplified sound passes through a damaged cochlear it doesn't matter how you manipulate the digitial signal processing or filters. This flick is misleading and no better than a typical ad from Beltone..
