Breaking News!! Dwight Bennett, owner of the ranch in Susanville, has been ARRESTED! He was arrested on Oct 25 for possession of a controlled substance and animal cruelty and is now sitting in Lassen Co. jail!! Thank You to everyone who has helped with this case and BIG THANK YOU to DA Robert Burns for taking action in this case. This is the first step to never allowing this man to own another animal and to see him pay for his crimes against these horses!!

I personally know one of the co-owners of the ranch that the scumbag Dwight Bennett scammed in order to take possession of this once thriving and beautiful ranch. He stole her dreams and her money and her horses. She will never get what she has had to lose and endure. The Grace Foundation knows who this person is and should make a way to return this persons animals to them.

That place never looked that way when my family started that ranch. We would never let our horses go hungry or be over worked. I'm so very troubled that it looks that way now. Although I'm happy now that Dwight no longer has ownership and he is gone. Thank you grace foundation for all you could there and I'm sorry you had to see it that way I wish you were there for when it was a place for families.

this kills me. Dwight was a very good family friend of mine and i find it so incredibly hard to believe that he has let this happen.he loved these animals but sadly he was on drugs that crowded his judgement. i was there just last year and was helping him feed the animals. Bay (Bay Star as i knew him) is a beautiful horse and ive ridden him many times while i visited the ranch. he was also not a hoarder, he took possession of the horses that his boarders stopped paying for.
