Kibera is the second largest and most impoverished slum in Africa. As of 2008, there are approximately 1.2 million people living in this place. Believe it or not, this would be considered the "nice" part. This was probably the worst smelling place I've ever been. Not only were we walking through the sewage of the slum, but we were told that people there use "flying toilets." where they literally go in a paper bag and throw it out the window. In the midst of all this poverty, notice the children walking home from school.
