Former AMA Doctor Donald Palmisano Says Uninsured Should Just Beg For Charity

His comments are the biggest line I've ever heard. If I come to you and need a procedure done you are not going to charge me if I tell you I'm broke. I guess the hospital won't either. We have Cooper Green here in Bham and the care there is good from what I've heard. I'm to rich for that and to poor to to have to keep paying the premiums I do for health insurance. 25% of my monthly goes to insurance. Is that fair or right.

Well hey doc, my family is going broke from my medical bills. My parents make too much to receive medicaid but we are hurting bad, can I come and youll treat me for free? Thanks for being such a generous guy, ill be on your office in a couple days! Seriously tho, does he expect us to believe this bullshit? If people were as generous as he says, we would be in this crisis. Relying on charity doesnt work, why would it randomly start working now?

Do you have a job?

Still wondering where I am going to get 1,600 a month to cover the premium that is mandated!

Lawyers do pro bono work... for indigents and non-profits. But if you've got a dime, you're on the clock, dude.
Even in my ~pretty good~ HMO, there are listings of each specialist's top 10 (or so) procedures with the prices they charge uninsured non-members. Unless you make $100,000 a year after taxes, you can't afford a booboo on you bippy.
How is a question and answer on video "left wing propaganda?"

Total BS! Yeah right. Most doctors offices and hospitals will not treat you if you don;t have the money. And they will sue you in a NY minute if you don't pay. They don't want excuses, they want your money and hire collection agencies to get it.
