@AlienAbandoned Aye. And the whole slavery thing was awful, I know. But that was the super ancient Egyptian traditions. And I guess Moses and Rameses father only looked to the traditions and not to family, wisdom, and equality. That's what's very divine and extraordinary about this film. God I love Dreamworks : )

@SuperAlwaysright Please calm down. The Egyptian culture presented here is completely different from modern Egyptian culture and Islamic beliefs. Egypt's is a long history, I think you know that. The culture presented in this movie is extinct. Second, there was a lot of good shown about the Egyptian culture here. There's the beauty and art, Moses' adoptive mother teaching him that family is the people you love. Moses and Ramses have a brotherly love despite cultural differences. :)

Honestly, I've tried and tried and tried for years, and I cannot hear Ofra in this song. I think they just made a mistake when they packaged and printed the tracklist and attributed credit to her for a song she didn't do. It sounds like the same choirs you can hear throughout the soundtrack, i.e. "The Burning Bush" and "Red Sea." It's all very beautiful, of course, it just bugs me that I seem to be missing something here. I don't think Ofra's in this song, guys. :P

why is there no singing??

It's very amazing. The Quran mentions the beginnings of Christianity and Judaism. Muslims believe in Jesus and Moses, in Jacob and Noah, in Abraham and in all 125,000 prophets found in all three major religions. Ours is the beautiful example of a religion in evolution. There should be no war, only love, peace, and acceptance :)

@songsof4ever Your right about the Islam-judeo-christian connection, but muslims dont belive there descended from ishmael, the arabs believe they're descendants of ishmael.
Muslims are just people who follow the religion of islam, you could be a malaysian muslim, pakistani muslim or black african muslim they don't belive they're descended from ishmael.
I liked your point though about the islamic connection : ).

That's not the voice of Ofra Haza..that's the voice from one of the coir women..xD
Ofra Haza's voice from 3:07.
Perfection.
You have to concentrate hard on the song - so those digressing into religious or political comments will probably miss hearing her.
