Ethnic Studies in SFUSD Schools (Public Service Announcement)

Please support our campaign for the inclusion of Ethnic Studies into the San Francisco Unified School District curriculum! This public service announcement was entirely planned, filmed, and edited by students and teachers at Pin@y Educational Partnerships (Balboa High School).

FIVE WAYS YOU CAN HELP...

1) Join us and speak to the School Board members Tuesday the 12th during public comment about why you believe Ethnic Studies is needed!
(1 minute maximum)

2) Write a letter of support to the School Board and email it back to us by Monday 1/11 to present to them on Tuesday the 12th!

I think it's important for young people to expose themselves to different cultures. Introducing ethnic studies into a regular curriculum might encourage tolerance of others. A lot of hate comes from the lack of understanding of people that are "different." Living in a world where prejudice still exists, it would be nice if we gave our youth an opportunity to experience the history of people they may not be familiar with.
