The past levels had all the same songs on all versions. The present and futures were better on the American versions BUT usually don't have the same melodies as the past versions.
The US version of the game didn't "dramatically" improve on anything that wasn't mostly cosmetic, it's a stretch to say it's really improved much at all considering how much worse the US soundtrack is. And no, Spencer Nilsen made the US soundtrack, for the record, either way, the nationality of the composer is irrelevant in this case.
It always felt more grown up & sophisticated than all of the other sonic games, esp. after the 90's.
Real mark of quality. Too bad the Sega CD never took off ( only 64 colors, still?? ), I think we can all agree those FMV game oriented systems were a bad move on everyone's part.
i pefer the european/jap version with the trippy tehcno music.altought i want this version to,gotto love sega cd and any kind of music on that system.
