Creteheads, Owen Blevins, ConcreteAnswers.TV bringing you the internet's most passionate show about concrete plants and equipment. Today we're headed back to Keyport, New Jersey. That's right our buddy Bobby Giannetti at Infern-O-Therm asked me to stop by when I was in the neighborhood and I did that just last week and saw this gorgeous piece of machinery in his shop. Now it's an asphalt hot oil tank. It's mobile, it's headed up to Canada, that's right our friendly neighbors to the north, but I had to get some shots of this and have Bobby do a little walk around to show you the level of quality that his shop puts out. This guy does and unbelievable job, hats off to him and his guys, check it out.
What we're standing in front of here is a 2500 gallon portable asphalt heating system. We have a 3 inch, fully jacketed 234 Viking unloading pump, mounted on a goose neck. All with jacket pipe, to load, off load, and recirculate the product in the tank. Moving forward, an Infern-O-Therm manufactured 828,000 BTU burner. It does two things, keeps the product hot in the tank and also heats the hot oil to pump out and circulate through the asphalt plant and assorted pipe lines to keep them hot.
This goose neck was fabricated in our factory. What we supplied with this is the lucks landing gear assembly. There are five sets of these, one on each side with a solid steel pad, 20 square feet each to support the load of the tank full. This tank will way close to 300,000 pounds when full of material. As all Infern-O-therm products, 3 inches of thermo fiber mineral insulation, covered in 024 gauge stuck on boss aluminum. This is a special tank for portable asphalt application. Incorporated with this tank is a 5,000 gallon fuel oil tank, after the product tank. What that's gonna do is supply the fuel oil necessary for the dryer burner. What you're looking at here is the jacketed return line that bypasses the oil tank, because you don't want to go through the oil tank and breach the bulkhead. The supply and return hot oil lines for the scavenger coil that's incorporated inside the tank. We have a 40 gallon expansion tank, with a Viking AK- 495 circulation pump. And what we're doing with this is we're able to heat the asphalt plant, the pipeline, any other assorted pipelines and pumps that have to be heated as well as we heat the entire system. This entire unit is heated with the hot oil in the jacketed pipeline and pumps, supplied by that circulation system.
What makes this unit special is that we've included in this, not spring suspension, but where this is going, way up in Quebec, Canada, we've incorporated an air ride system, to give a smoother ride and to protect the unit from any rough roads. What you're looking at here is the Cadillac of what Infern-O-Therm produces, totally manufactured in our facility in Keyport, New Jersey.
So, Crete heads was I right or was I right. Bobby and his team make beautiful equipment. Extremely functional, engineered to the hilt, that thing's amazing. I think it weighs like 300,000 pounds fully loaded. Really neat piece of equipment, hope you guys enjoyed the little walk around. Check out Bobby's website Infernotherm.com, check out us on ConcreteAnswers.TV, and hey, shout out to Mid-Atlantic Concrete Equipment where you can find that and many other products for your consumption. maconcrete.com, see ya!
