Oil is a limited resource and the peak for oil is in the past. What will the downhill slide of peak oil bring to the US and the world? Oil has afforded us surplus resources to allow us to focus on knowledge and social expansion. When oil runs out our culture will too if we do not prepare for the huge bubble collapse of oil. $5 or even $10 dollar gas in in clear sight as demand out paces supply from here forward. Can we escape diminishing net energy of oil?

  • Yes, Almost a third of the production wells in the Ghawar oil basin in Saudi Arabia have been converted to seawater injection just to keep the pressure up.

  • I WORK in the oil and gas industry in the gulf of mexico. Almost all the oil platforms I work on have declining production figures, not increasing ones. The US gets 25% of it's oil from the gulf and the numbers are falling. Mexico's Cantarell oil field has collapsing production, and Mexico's government is utterly dependent upon selling that oil, mostly to us.

I wont even comment on these idiots of denial, They want to believe what they want to believe and be damned with the facts.

  • Those who deny peak oil are not mentally capable of doing any hard science or game theory to logically consistently check their own analyses. Physical laws & limits of nature and mathematics: conservation of mass & energy - trumps all. If the peak oil deniers drag in OTHER issues, such as the CIA or alleged oil company scarcity scare tactics (and oil companies ARE evil, but in other ways), then they had DAMNED well better drag in the issue of human overpopulation.

  • Great video, MidwestWatchdog! Those who deny peak oil are the same ones who deny anthropogenic global warming (AGW) or deny the holocaust of trillions of animals needlessly murdered in factory farms each year just because deniers refuse to go vegan. AGW is proven. None of this has anything to do with made-up wacko government conspiracy theories. The evidence is on the side of those who say that peak oil is past, but I don't know. Nobody knows for sure.

MWdog:You are TOO humble, in my opinion.

  • @MidwestWatchdog i say oil and gas be gone forever and have a great future without it

  • @ArkDiscoverydotCOM If oil companies are intentionally limiting capacities its a good thing. Oil production can not meet the demand forever.

  • @ArkDiscoverydotCOM Nothing left to see except the therapist.

  • @crbrown27 Oh and it is just coincidence that all the memos from the big oil companies admitting to artificial scarcity just vanish off the net. Oh they must have went where all the Tesla papers went. Just coincidence right?

  • @operator223 You can not dismiss the RECORD profits created by the oil industry. Seams that no matter what they can make BILLIONS while production is in decline? LOL give me a break.

  • @operator223 Eugene Island 330 and self-renewing oil supplies

Eugene Island is an oil field in the gulf of Mexico, 80 miles off the coast of Louisiana. It was discovered in 1973 and began producing 15,000 barrels of oil a day which then slowed to about 4,000 barrels in 1989. But then for no logical reason whatsoever, production spiked back up to 13,000 barrels a day. Big oil companies have seen the evidence and admitted that the Eugene Island oil field is refilling itself. One out of many.

  • @crbrown27 Yeah its just coincidence that Tesla lab mysteriously burned down and OH all his inventions were credited to Bell, Edison and so forth. Its just a theory right? All his inventions just vanish into the memory hole. Nothing to see here right?

  • @crbrown27 Internal Memos Show Oil Companies Intentionally Limited Refining Capacity To Drive Up Gasoline Prices show different ways the oil giants closed down refining capacity and drove independent refiners out of business. The confidential memos demonstrate a nationwide effort by American Petroleum Institute, the lobbying and research arm of the oil industry, to encourage the major refiners to close their refineries in the mid-1990s in order to raise the price at the pump. DO YOUR RESEARCH
