  • It Bites could be the ultimate Gastonbury band. Not sure if any could ever top them. Might even fire up old Berlingo to check them out. Have a feeling prices next year are gonna be silly though. I'd see Frank and his family for twenty quid

  • I saw them live in Sheffield recently. They can really cut it as far as i'm concerned. I love all of It Bites' albums including Tall |ships. Lets face it, without John Mitchell, there may not be an It Bites of this quality for us all to still enjoy. They're in a new phase and still retain the great John Beck and Bob Dalton. Lets hope things just keep getting better for them

  • I think the band is bigger than any one person - I only actually discovered their stuff after listening to 'The Tall Ships' which is the best album I have heard in a long while - has got me into the old stuff - so glad it did :)

  • Agreed.

  • Look, the "new" It Bites was always going to sound different with JM involved but, from what I've heard, it still sounds like it Bites but slightly different - isn't that how a new album with the original line-up would have ended up anyway?

I think we have to accept that things change, often for the better, in the music business, and i think that the future of it Bites is in safe hands with JM and now Lee on board.

  • As more members of the band quit it's fast becoming an IT BITES tribute band - What a great loss!

Francis and Dick the world demands your return!!

  • As a Northener, I'm a bit concerned about my fave band filling up with southern softies. Will it take the edge off the sound? Seems ok so far...I await lots of flak from outraged Londoners...

  • Thanks Gazbert. I've been reading the website today. Their music has played a big part in my musical life. Pity about Dick. Couldn't they find anyone from Cumbria who could play a pedal-bass 'dumdedumdedum' for 9 minutes?

  • ex-take that bassist Lee Pomeroy, Dick Nolan left a short while ago 'cos he couldn't commit.

  • Who's on bass?
