Inventivo e libertador!
Não haverá por ai outros trabalhos do mesmo autor?! Todas as semanas faço "search" por um vídeo dos Mler Ife Dada, mas até hoje nada. Eles merecem estar no You Tube!

Ah i appreciate the fast reply. This is very inspiring and has given me several ideas to toy with once i have my own musical equipment available :)

Another detail: i opened the musicbox that triggers the whole system and reversed the cilinder inside, which caused the original tune to be lost and offered me a nice new tune made of some musicbox notes and weird clicks.

I also use a sampler and a midi sequencer. In the moment the acoustic mechanism starts moving, the sampler starts to sample, something like 2 or 4 secs. As soon as those seconds are over, the sample starts to be reproduced in lower octaves (receiving midi C notes in lower octaves from the sequencer). Meaning that once the insect starts moving, the whole thing plays what you hear on its own. There is no post production.

This is genious! May i ask what effect processor/software is used for effects? This is what i'm into myself. Soundwhise, not the combining of aucoustic instruments and mechanics to create random a random order of notes tho. Pure genious!

about the sound effects: in "agony of an insect" i use a delay with single repetition, followed by a pitch shifter (lowering the repetition in 7 half tones).
