Yes, she must have seen Mike do that grin.

Why am I only now hearing about this woman? Now I know where Jools Holland got his inspiration from.

Nah!! The Queen is on the KEYBOARD!! Brilliant!! I fell in love with her music when I was about 5 years old, listening to her on Saturday morning's childrens programme 'Children's favourites' with 'Uncle Mac' as the Presenter. I LOVE youtube, and all the memories it brings flooding back.

When Winifred was on the radio -in the good old days- I always listened to her music. By accident I stumbled on your You Tube Winnifred Atwell collection. My word : she is just great, isn't she? Absolutely the very top !
Thank you for sharing this legend with us.

blimey - I bet she could tickle a tune out of an old pork sausage with those wild fingers.
Thanks for this one, Mike. One of my favorite pieces, played by one of my favorite artists, posted by the best honky tonk player on either side of the pond. Woot!
