To insure safety and control over your horse the first thing you want to do is gain control over his feet. Begin by disengaging the hindquarters on the ground. When this is perfected climb in the saddle and work on it there. The hindquarters is your horse's engine. Once you have control over them you are ready to begin to ride and train your horse.
