The ubiquity of Gill Sans in London

What seems to be Gill Sans is very often Johnston, London Underground, Agenda or Bliss. The Cluttons logo is neither of them.

@Henouk A typeface is not a sentient entity; its existence is merely a product of its creator, the same brain that did such unspeakable things. Gary Glitter is rightly vilified and you don't hear his music any more. I sense double standards. By celebrating Gill and calling his typefaces "awesome", he is being rewarded for his sins.

@filmnet It's not the font's fault it's creator was a pervert.
The font is awesome.

@Henouk Not sure about the morality of a video celebrating Eric Gill. It even makes me more amazed when I see people who identify as Christians consider Gill some sort of hero. He was a sexual abuser who raped his three daughters (when they were children), his two sisters, his housemaids and (unbelievably) his pet dog. He never showed any regret for doing these things and even kept a diary of all these events. Gill sans morals.

0:37 isn't Gill Sans, the "C" and "S" are clearly different. Looks more like Avenir to me. but yeah, @invernessfails i hate Gill Sans too

Ah we love Gill Sans here in London - It's even in the Church of England Prayer Book "Common Worship"
I only wish that our missal (I'm a Catholic you see) would use it!
The Underground signs aren't Gill.
