  • Great advice and interesting situation!!!

  • To clarify, bring the cane even though you don't need it all the time. It is just for show.

  • Keep a cane in your car and take it with you when you are running short errands (i.e. going to the post office). Also put military or veteran stickers on your car so people think you are an injured veteran. You could even wear a baseball cap saying "USMC" or something similar on short trips so people think you are a disabled veteran from the war. No one will bother you after that.
