Greek culture has always had friends and enemies. It has been attacked especially by judaic middle eastern cultures but survived and even transformed christianism into a half-greek religion (12 gods, 12 Apostles, Hermes ascension, Jesus ascension, celebration of 25th of December, God of war, God of sea etc. Saint of the army, saint of the mariners etc; etc.).
Right now it faces a new wave of attacks. They will fail. It is too strong to be dealt like that...
