Work begins at Maxine's, 1215 Bidwell St

This video on June 2nd, 2010 shows contractor employees working to prepare for the demolishing of all but the façade of Vancouver heritage building Maxine's Hideaway at 1215 Bidwell. However no development permit or building permit has been issued.

Construction noise continued passed the cut off of 8pm. No one wore hardhats. They were on the Juliet balcony (not meant for standing) without safety belts, and throwing heavy boards to the co-workers below.

Here's a short video clip of workers blocking the sidewalk while using it as their work bench.
