  • I'm a descendant of Sacarnaua Decenoski (aka. Sakuragawa Rikinosuke) & Honora Jane Kerr. My 97yr old grandma kept her Japanese heritage a secret until about 10yrs ago because of WWII and the stupid White Australia policy.

  • @BlueKikorangi Thank you for so much for contacting me. Sakuragawa Rikinosuke is a very important figure for me and people of Japanese diaspora in Australia. I have taken photographs of where he is buried in Sydney's Rookwood cemetery as part of In Repose project. I would love to find out more about your grandma and you. Could we switch over to email? You can find out more about my work via my website mayu.com.au
