- FUNK rules -
My favorite song from the famous LP "A Little Love" ! But most of people prefer the "make up your mind" track..

  • This tune is great. The soulfulness you get from the vocalist Starletta Young and Steve Washington, but you nod your head in the background to the funky bassline and drums.

Great tune from another great era in black music.

  • What a kick ass tune!

Good music simply isnt made like this anymore.

  • Indeed, Funk does rule!

  • huh...sounds like frikin Madonna, her earlier stuff anyways..which is odd, cause people used to get on Madonna for sounding too black. Regardless, she has a nice voice..

  • Kevin Moore ''Drummer'' and Friend Of Mine. You Did Make it. You Were Hoping To Get

With Glen Goins Of Parliament But Glen Passed Away And So You Made It With Steve Washington of Slave and Aurra. God Bless

  • Mr. D-F sent me here; what a tune

  • ITS TOO MUCH.....sweet sweet sounds....

massive respect.....don't make music like this, just bums hanging on streets with their jeans...down to their backside...if they only knew..what real music was !

  • Awesome..Aurra....were cool !

  • good song

  • Loving the smooth bass sound!

  • This is just good 4 string funk no tripplets, tapping and all the other non grooving nonsense that's being played on bass nowadays.Big props to Steve Washington (who was the trumpet player and fearles leader of Slave) for laying down some real nice bass tracks and also went on to lay down some "cold Hearted"bass tracks for the funkadelics in the real early 90's and as mention Raymond Jackson from Mtume (Mandrill for us funksters of the 70's and 80's) This was what it was about for us back then

  • I remember riding on the military motor coach leaving Air Force basic training going to Biloxi Mississippi for Technical School. I was always a Slave fan and Aurra and Deja kept that sound going. The basslines always were their sticking point. Starlena's voice was always wonderful. These were great times for me.
