The term 'racism' in the english language appeared in the nineteen-thirties but it's usage today is different. Trotsky was attacking the need to prevent races mixing, and was criticising the 19th century scientific term 'racialism' which promoted the differentiation of races. Indeed, Trotsky's use of 'racism' was a reference to 'racialism', and not modern 'racism', which had it's present definition developed much later. Do you therefore promote racial segregation because trotsky condemned it?

You can quibble and moan about how a word was developed and when it was accepted, but you cannot logically progress an argument suggesting that the insidious acts they describe were also invented along with the word. Call it whatever you choose, but society has a right to accurately describe hatred towards other humans because of how they were born.
