Mebbe u shud carry an extra movie projector light AND a microphone in your backback. Last time I saw Shaver he played at Antones with Carolyn Wonderland and Ray Wylie Hubbard - same BAT stage, same BAT time. Bats big in Austin, sweetie.

Naw! that's just a cynical joke! Let's face it, you'd have to be TOO confident to try it and you'd have to be one hell of an actor to carry it off.

Jim, you were the only bat I encountered on both my visits to Austin. But point taken re: lights, mic, and a real video camera.

Great!!! Pls post your vid whenever you are ready. Very compelling song, especially the chorus. It is equally metaphor and literal in its 'thrust' for lack of a better term. O, I believe it's "waddn't" (was not) rather than "woulnd't". Giver 'er, as they say in Cape Breton Nova Scotia!!

And sadly, it was probably based on a fairly true fact, lol!

Proper...!!!!! Must say that "mic failed" routine is great.... audience participation is what you NEED... audiences not participating ain't listening!!!! This is great Anna... more please. *****

LOL - you mean musicians do it on purpose? In this instance, there really was a technical glitch. I was close to the stage and was fascinated as to how he'd handle it. Such a pro, one tough hombre is BJS. It was out for most of the song, and he barrelled right back into it. Crowd ate it up!!!
