@amazingpony, LOL, it's supposed to be awkward. The girl on the left doesn't even seem to have had a romantic relationship before (though, in the film, she says she has). This is both of their first time experiencing another female in this way. At least that's true in Maya's case (girl on the left), and they just got through drinking an alcoholic beverage. Girl on the right clearly had more, LOL. Good build-up sells the kiss in this case. You gotta watch from the start to feel that.
