  • That's what they did with Independence Day. At least here in America. It was a 2 disc thing where you had a whole bunch of stuff and now they only have the one disc thing. Wish they had the two disc back.

  • @scottieman2

It'll come back... they will do a 15th, 20th, 30th anniversary, or an unwanted crappy sequel will emerge and it will get a re-release.

  • I agree with you about the adding like 2 minutes. I think the Saw films only like add like 10 seconds and call it unrated.

  • @scottieman2

Thats the bullshit of the FCC. If there is too much blood on screen for too long, they cut it, if there is too many "fucks" and "shits" they cut it...and movie makers comply to get it released in theatres with an R rating... if someone wanted to make some big bucks, they should open a chain of adult cinemas (of a different kind) and allow for unrated movies to be shown, then there wouldnt be the need to release a theatrical version, then an unrated DVD

  • Couldn't agree with you more bro! As much as I want to get xmen first class on DVD, I'm going to wait for the 2 disc special edition. The single disc version that's out now is a f*cking rip off!

  • @maniac1075 Rip offs. lol.

  • @maniac1075 Still, 10 seconds isn't really worth calling unrated. That's how they get you. You see the R version and the unrated and you think "Wow, unrated." Then you watch it and only get 10 seconds?

I wouldn't mind seeing the unrated cinema. Sounds like a cool idea.

No point to it anyway... because I read all the time that the BlueRay quality of the release is not any better then the DVD.... that, and BlueRay is probably going to be replaced with something soon anyway.... in the last 50 years we've already gone through nothing, to beta, to VHS, to laserdisc (that was the BIG thing remember?) then DVD, then BlurRay.... sooner or later something else will come along.... you'll probably just buy a movie to insert into your brain and dream it

  • @scottieman2

It probably will never receive that kind of treatment. But I know it already has come out in at least 3 different releases, not including double features etc... All being no different to each other, but the choice of the image they use on the packaging seems to be the only reason I can see why each version is sold for a different price to the other. A truck image I can see being sold for 10 bucks, and one with Estifez on the cover is 20? Go figure.

  • I wanna get Maximum Overdrive on DVD, but it has nothing on it. But if I buy it, the next week it'll come out with 3 disc set.
