does it pick up radar from behind? and also how far does it pick up from the front?

@Mr300zxlover Well in my vid it picks up maybe a quarter or third of a mile, all depends on how he is pointing it, and the surrounding landscape, like hills blocking the signal. And yeah it picks it up from behind, notice how I hide the camera to not film the LEO, and it continues to pick up as the radar is pointing the other way.

Thanks for sharing, but this could have been a great video if the camera was focusing more on the detector and less on the road....because the beeps sound exactly the same as a RED RX65. But there aren't many videos on YouTube showing the BLUE LED...and I'd bet that's what most people would like to see.

@UKSportsFan Well this was just to show the distance it picks up and how far the cop was located. I can take another vid to show the blue leds, they have speed cameras in the town over from me hanging on telephone polls I can always get a vid of it them.

@enacku Yeah, that would be great. The more, the better. If you can do one in bright day light (like this one), and maybe one @ night, that would be awesome.

I'm really surprised at just how few videos there are of the Blue Bel RX65 here on YouTube. You can find several more Blue Whistler Pro-78 videos than you can of the RX65.

Is the Blue Bel RX65 similar to other Bel radar detectors in the sense that it has three "brightness" settings: Bright (for day), Medium, and Dim (for night)?
