Meet Music Therapist, Maggie Leung

As a registered music therapist at the Royal Children's Hospital, Brisbane, Maggie aims to aid the recovery of seriously ill children through the magic of music.

By using singing, dancing and improvising on a range of instruments, music therapists engage the children and their families within a fun and positive environment.

They provide opportunities for children to express their feelings and increase their motivation to get better, while also working closely with doctors, speech therapists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists to maximise the overall recovery of each child.

During music therapy sessions, the most amazing thing happens - children open up and interact - they smile, talk and laugh.

With your help the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation can continue to work wonders for children like Flynn and help them lead happy and vibrant lives.
