Didnt work for me either. I even tried disconnecting my monitor. I dont understand the controller turns on the xbox but it still doesnt sync properly so the controller isnt recognized.

i had same problem with standard xbox and this online tip worked for me, hold sync button on xbox until it stops flashing, turn off xbox, disconnect power suppy, unplug, wait for a min, hook it all back up and should be fine!

It didn't work for me. My guide button just keeps on blinking doesn't want to sync all the way. Mine is a wired white Xbox 360 controller.

@bovineboss If you actually watched the video, then you would understand that this is a troubleshooting step if it DOESNT CONNECT NORMALLY. everyone knows how to sync it normally.
