Superman/The Passion of the Christ Remix

Interestingly enough, I found out that Jim Caviezel had expressed interest in playing CK/Superman in Returns shortly after doing Passion, but because he had gone from an unknown to a known as a result of doing Passion, Singer had to pass on him and keep looking for an unknown where he found Brandon Routh.

But that's okay, 'cause Jim already played the ultimate superman: Jesus Christ

There's tons of parallels:

Jesus' human parents (Joesph and Mary) have Hebrew names AND the same initials as Clark's human parents (Jonathan and Martha).

Jesus was baptized at the age of 30. Clark created the Fortress of Solitude at the age of 18. Jor-El tutored him for 12 years. 18 + 12 = 30.

The Messiah was called in Hebrew Immanuel. Clark's "S" symbol represents the House of El.

Jesus was stabbed in the side with a spear. Superman was stabbed in the side with a chunk of Kryptonite.

Besides, Superman is the only son of a father from a superior alien civilization, sent to earth to save it by performing miracles. Was sent away like his parents like Moses was, and gave Martha and Jonathan a child like Abraham got a child.

Love it!

But its just a parody. Anything that makes us think about Christ is cool by me. Superman is just my favorite character.

meh...who cares? great job Love superman. One of the two directors working on the move purposefully tried to make the superman movie christ like. He had admitted that much. He even recieved threatening letters.

Not "drawing" parallels, "showing" them. I made that explicitly clear in my last post. Learn to read. I hope you're not going to ask me where I got that idea from.
