Kath was the driving force and the rhythmic soul behind Chicago...When he died, it died with him.

This is the first time I've ever seen footage of Chicago back in the day. I always thought there was a black dude in the group.Thought Kath was black man, holy crap what a voice.

They were originally called, "Chicago Transit Authority", the first album was great, the second was pretty good. What sent them down the tubes was Terry Kath the guitarist, accidentally shot himself. His guitar playing was the real force behind the group. After he died, they (Peter Cetera the vocalist) moved on to "fluffy cotton-candy rock", oh well... They can still be found playing the county fair, amusement park and Seaworld circuit.

I grew up on this. My dad loved them. I think because they were so funky. He is getting older, but he is so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

Their first album put them in the pantheon their following records were not of that caliber. Finally they slunked off and fell asleep on the big shag rug in the rec room of middle America. Drugs any one? They kept repeating the formula to such an extent that they became irrrelevant and now hardly anyone knows how fantasticly innovative and great their early work was. Moral quit while you're ahead.
