  • this was pretty good, but probably a bit to much motown. i was happy to see the monkees thoug haha.

  • Picking the Top 25 is challenging. Here are a few I'd include on "Another Top 25". Cherish - The Association, Monday Monday - Mamas & Papas, Poor Side of Town - Johnny Rivers, We Can Work It Out & Nowhere Man - The Beatles, Sunshine Superman - Donovan, Walk Away Renee - The Left Banke, Bus Stop - The Hollies, Homeward Bound & Sounds of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel, You Baby - The Turtles, Shapes of Things - The Yardbirds, Five O'clock World - The Vogues, Dirty Water - The Standells. Thanks!

  • 1966 was dominated by the Mamas & the Papas though they don't appear here. Also, the picture at #9 is of the Bee Gees, not the Spencer Davis Group.

  • Well, at least we got one Dusty Springfield -- an excellent one at that -- and one Supremes in 1966, which is more than we got in 1965. But no more Supremes. No Petula Clark. No Cher. No Nancy Sinatra. Even Frank didn't make this "survey." In addition, far too much Beatles. And an overdose of "soul" groups. My friend, you missed the mark of the best music in 1965 and 1966 by light years.
