This is a test of the RODE NTG-2, RODE BLIMP and RODE Boom. The conditions were windy, next to very busy road and below freezing.

This was filmed with the Canon HG20 with a xlr to 3.5mm jack adapter.

I hope that you find this interesting and helpful ^_^

  • why is only the Right channel working?

  • @haveudonethis because it is a shotgun mic, they only record in mono

  • @monkeyking424PLUS does the recorder not have the ablilty to run 2Ch MONO,if not you could use a Y split lead taking the signal into both channels and run one channel 6-12dB down as a safety track incase of clipping, giving you the extra option in post, as for outputting the signal on one channel just copy it over to the other timeline in your NLE,this way both channels will have signal .

  • @haveudonethis i simply plug it straight into my camera, now what I do. back then i didn't know how to put the audio on both channels, but no i understand that if you right click on the audio and set the channels to be both right, it evens out the audio

  • good ,but comparing to other videos the camera qualtiy is a little low..but awesome song

  • @kingamer008 the camera is full HD xD it was just dark :P
