Why do people keep caring about where we're from? Jeez. It's starting to get on my nerves. We're not Mongolians, we're not Miao, we're not Chinese, Thai, Lao... WE ARE HMONG. Okay? And thats all I care about. JeeZ

@paexou Hey, Hmong has nothing to do with Mongol...
-
@YawmZajlaug Hehe u are the one who dislikes that name. The word " Miao" Is a smart or clever word in Mandarin. So, we
shouldn't mind very much. The reason some ethnic groups
so afraid to label the word "Hmong" Because if they call Hmong,
then it means Hmong and Mongol are the same. Then Mongol
and Hmong will very very strong to rule all ethnic groups
in Asia. So, other just use Hmong name to be different from
Mong or Mongol.

Majority of Hmong people in China still burning "Quav Kws" and "Yub Ntoo" for cooking, that if you are to sell the whole house belongings, you can get the most $10 from them. That Hmong in Laos still live in bamboo huts that one can see "Qaib khiav zom zaws nraum zoov". That majority of Hmong in the U.S. still cook, eat, and dress no much different li cov Hmoob nyob pem roob - so to say that we were once in history a great nation in China? puzzle me quite a bit.
-
I still find it hard to believe that we Hmong did actually have an influence politically and demographically in mainland China. If one time in history, we were that great, how did we disappeared in history, records, and nearly wiped out of the face of this earth. That after nearly a century of development, we Hmong still feet away from stone age?

@tianyafeixing I am not a Chinese person, nor ever Chinese, nor been to China for this topic purpose. I learned nothing more than words from a Hmong Chinese elder. If this word was wrong, not mine but his. But, if you accept what it is, it is your choice. I am happy with my level of acceptance and stay at my level of knowledge. But remember, any words give out during a revolution could have off meaning.

@YawmZajlaug Now "Zhonggu" is just the Hmong way of saying "Zhong Guo (中国/Middle Country)" because that is what Chinese themselves in the past and also today too as a unified country. I am Hmong too if that is what you're wondering so I hope that is clear up for you a bit.
I speak no Chinese nor ever learned Chinese, and what I brought up simply words from a Hmong Chinese himself. I am simply repeated his own words and his words make me believed it was true because he appeared to be an important individual. Similar to Lao people called us before the 60's. The writing has meaningless but intend was what hurt people's feeling.
