  • i've always felt that Gilmour and Clapton were similar players in that neither one is a flashy player. the parts they play compliment the music and become part of it. i think they are both masters of playing an "understated" solo. notes aren't wasted in some flurry like say EVH or most of the 80's guitarists.

  • its payback from the japanese because we always do crappy dubbing in their old karate movies

  • damned subtitles ...

  • @Zebonka Britian was an island last time I checked, so technically he is ;-)

  • I have flagged this for having a misleading title. He is NOT on an island in this video.

  • @low72 you should pick up a guitar Hey ya never know you might surprise yourself or seriously let yourself down LOL either way its still fun.

  • marabilloso!!!!

  • @scmaddog17 I have to say I think Clapton edge's toward's widdling abit more than his early day's and between the two Gilmore the better user of note's, probably the best in the world actually. Don't get me wrong, Clapton's outro solo at Live Aid on Layla is still one of my favourite ever solo's, the guy is a genius, they both are.

  • @scmaddog17 dude...that is so true...last night I was listening to Jack FM and they were playing 80s and I was really listening to guitar solos and I was like...wtf? This is like easy bullshit ass solos...I could make better ones and I've never picked up a guitar! But I totally agree with you. Both compliment and not flashy. It's crazy. I've tried to compare other artists to gilmour's solo...you can't compare. Never be able to get on his level.

  • questo signore e' il chitarrista piu' tecnico che i miei occhi hanno mai visto.

    complimenti very very good.
