I know this quite well from my experiences.
There was too much drag, a whole lot of incorrect articulation, and a horrible trombone solo. Of course if you all hadn't practiced much, I can understand.

we're currently playing this song for a summer concert, and some of the articulation sounds horrible.
the rhythm section is totally distracting.

we play this song, how old r u?we are all in 6th and 7th grade and 8th.we dont use cowbell...i guess we have better timing?wheres the pianist?!?!this whole song revolves around that whole solo!if he's in the back...you r giving too much credit to the stupid bongo player.he should be in the back...i am the pianist and drummer in our band(i switch off with the other pianist and drummer) so i know how to listen for certain instruments.your Pianist should be in front.end of story!

Um, I'm in college now, but this is high school. We don't use a cowbell to keep the tempo... we use it because it sounds good in the song. And I'm the pianist... I was the one playing the solo. There are two of us, but for whatever reason, you can't hear us much in this video. But it would be cool if we were in the front. :D I don't really think that would work though.

You can never have too much cowbell. Hah.
And it sounds a lot different recorded, especially because of where the camera is. When you're actually there, you can hear things besides the cowbell.
I'm sure your middle school jazz band is just great.
