No glitch. No hack. I looked in the particles folder and found three files of interest:
CoasterExplosion.fwd
Explosion1.fwd
Explosion2.fwd
Drag them to the fireworks folder in RCT3 under My Documents and the next time you make a Fireworks Display, add a few of those babies in!
