Vintage Treadle Singer sewing machine G9906058 Sewing machine needs TLC. Needs to be taken apart and greased. Cabinet needs some refinishing. Stand is in good condition. The foot pedal does work. welte auction ebay
Nice machine to refurbish. When I refurbish I bond with them, then usually nickname them. One of my favorites is an 1889 Singer with a fiddle base, Bertha. They are amazing machines and sew beautifully. I'll have to add before and after vids on my channel.
How does it look now? These old machines were not greased, only oiled. Only some of the treadle parts where greased. they can often be cleaned out with thin oils like Triflow or GT85, and then use regular sewing machine oil if you want to be authentic. WD-40 is not that good in the long run.
A real beauty. I 'd love to have one.
