  • what are the specs of the system running this demo. riscPC? it cant be the older classic Acorns, surely

  • Acorn A3010 12mhz ARM 250 is the machine I use on all my videos :)

  • only 12mhz. pretty impressive!

  • They were great machines. The demo shown predates the risc pc too :)

  • Is this game PD? Doesn't seem to be any collision detection when he passed the side of the building.

  • quite impressibe what can be done with the small amount of processor power. id like to see if theres any games that are 3d and textured too.

like to add the acorn had a pretty groovy operating system for its time.

  • Heh, I remember finding this on an old disc as well. I seem to remember it came with some relatively high-poly (for the time) models you could spin around.

Do you by any chance have an old vector demo with a mod of "toccata and fugue" on it? I forget the exact name, but the main portion consists of flying around a 3D world in which there's a large A3000 (maybe A3010) model and all sorts of other strange things bouncing around. Would love to see that one again.
