In this episode we travel to Borneo to see orang-utans in the wild. We also visit the Wanarset Rehabilitation Centre where confiscated orang-utans are prepared for release back into the wild.
We also visit the Perth Zoo in Australia to witness the only film of an orang-utan giving birth. We visit the San Deigo Zoo in Califonia USA and observe the first and only an orang-utan.

2:28 "The most popular animal god created" Ah...no. If your god had the ability to "create" the Orang-utan then protecting it from extinction should be child's play for such a god. Why is this god then not protecting his "creation"
Stop spouting nonsense if you expect to be taken seriously. The preservation of species is an important scientific and ethical issue that is not to be debilitated and distracted by your infantile creation myths.

@Horser01 P.S.- Does the rescue center have a website or something?

Amazing... I pride myself in keeping track of which animals need help (in a general sense, like Masai and Baringo Giraffes) but I never realized just how much trouble Orangutans are in... 5 more animals a year die and they go extinct... That's so depressing... Not only are they gorgeous, interesting, adorable and amusing, but they are so intellegant and so... human. I'm not suprised its the animal that most closely resembles us that is paying for our mistakes...

These videos are great. It would be awesome to see it promoted a bit more.
