The Globie Awards is an annual tradition that OISS started to recognize people, on campus and in our community, who have distinguished themselves by their service to international students and scholars. The 2009 Globie Awards luncheon, held at the Spartan Club, was attended by over 150 people—all of whom were honored for the role they play in welcoming international students and scholars to MSU. From this esteemed group, OISS selected 3 people for the Globie Award: 1. Sally McClintock (nominated by Norseha Unin) 2. Patricia Walters (nominated by Amy Kroesche) 3. Laura Sologuren-Sanchez (nominated by Jamie Servoss)
