June 6th, 2009: Wright discusses the importance of keeping a revolutionary-minded outpost on the right wing campus of UCSD. He was an original founder of the cafe back in the late 1970s and wrote "Tripod Shot at the Stars" in the cafe's succulent garden with fellow performance poets John Rubens and Gordon Hall. The piece was presented to Jerome Rothenberg and Allen Ginsberg, who complimented them on their originality and stage presence. The trio went on to perform a poetic version of MARAT SADE with visionary Ondi Lingenfelter.
