Turner Apartments was originally built in in the late 1800's as the Turner Hotel. The old building was demolished in 1927 to make way for the new six-story all brick Turner Hotel. The building was completely renovated in 1981 as Turner Apartments and the rooms were converted into 48 apartments.
The apartments are for mature singles/couples age 50 and over who are looking for a comfortable place to live as well as the convenience of living in Downtown Gainesville. Each of the 48 apartments offers a nice living space with bedroom, bath and kitchen. Each floor is beautifully decorated in keeping with the architectural period, including a lobby which is a lovely place to socialize with others. The Turner Apartments offers a unique opportunity for worry free living in one of Gainesville's most historic buildings.
