Аs for me - I don't have any commercial profit of that. There is one chinese whisdom: "what is obvious - don't need to be proved". I don't feel any problem with it. Maybe you do, but why should i care?:)

@cuzz63 ok. But now how would you prove it? BJJ was the product of one of the famous japanese teacher Mitsuio Maeda to Brasil. I doubt that the teacher who gave studios to Gracie family showed them that submission and named it as "Cobra Choke". BJJ Gracie family even don't name their style in right way, as it sould be Kano Kodokan Judo. That's funny. Because it's the origin of that style. "BJJ" it is just a trademark which was registred in USA by Rorion Gracie.

@Ariosof Thats funny, I learned this choke as the "Cobra Choke" back in the early 90's from Royler Gracie.

By the way the name of the choke is not "snake choke", but "sokovyzhymalka", if you translate from russian in english "juice squizzer".

many years ago I invented this choke by myself. Now it's funny to see, that it reached amerikan fighters. I know more modifications of that submission, by I think that secrets should be secrets. It's no good to discover those things that not belong to you to other people.

Love this choke for no-gi. After it is locked up I switch to "S" mount for added pressure. I find it very difficult to finish in gi because of the added material of the sleeves in the way.
