There was a time when the UK was in the vanguard of musical innovation and risk taking. No more. While bands like the Knife and KDA's own foray into weirdness, Fever Ray set the bench mark, (together with South Korea's Itta if given half a chance!), British music falls fowl of the X Factor and Oasis wannabe's. I just don't listen much to UK music as there is always something better abroad; Alva Noto, Byetone, Deerhoof, Einsturzende Neubauten, etc etc. What happened to our
sense of danger?
